Kokrajhar (Assam): The local tribal society organized here the 6th biennial conference of All kurukh (oraon) Sahitya Sabha (Assam) on 19, 20 and 21 March 2021 at Mazbat, Udalguri district (Assam). Sri Promod Boro the Chief of BTC was the Chief Guest and Ashok Baxla, founder secretary, Kurukh Litrary Society of India (New Delhi) was the Special Guest and appointed as the speaker of the programme.
There were about 7 to 8 thousand Kurukh people from different parts of Assam participated in the programme.
In programme, kurukh people demanded:-
1. to give Scheduled Tribe status to Kurukh (Oraon) people and
2. inclusion of kurukh Language with Tolong siki in 8th Schedule.
The programme is organized by All kurukh (Oraon) Sahitya Sabha Assam.
